It was a long time ago;
A past that I barely remember.
A moment in time
That I wish that I could repeat.
I was skinny,
And darker.
Had energy
That lasted almost forever.
My family - Ill never forget them.
Their faces - Remain in my mind and heart.
It was a time of innocence,
Of laughter,
Of fun,
Of memories.
I dont remember much else.
Just the smell,
After a rain,
During the monsoon season.
Just the taste
Of crackling skin,
Of a pig
Slaughtered for my birthday.
Only remembering
The moments
When I smiled,
When joy filled my entire being.
This was a different world.
Different from California,
Different from Canada,
Different from England.
A moment in my life
That shaped who I am today

I wasn't interesting. And he was. Interesting and brilliant and mysterious and perfect and beautiful and possibly able to lift a full-sized van with one hand.

I was not able to go back until I had already graduated from high school. So yeah, I remember my family too. And I hope that they will remember me.
Thanks for the fav.

I really missed it there, I miss virtually everything there, all the towns, all the people, and of course the food.
No problem! This deserved A fave.
